I love history. Being from Savannah, Ga I have been blessed to be surrounded by it my entire life. Like, fun fact, when William T. Sherman did his march, Fort Jackson was the very first Fort he took. (It also went by the name Fort Oglethorpe for a while, but I can think we all agree that doesn’t sound as good.) So, trust me when I say, being in these walls was awe-inspiring. And an absolute honor to be able to photograph a beautiful wedding on its grounds.
Now onto the couple!
I love Anne and Joshua so much; they were such a pleasure to photograph! With a live cellist at the ceremony, it was a setting for a beautiful tearful event. With so much historical energy in the air, I couldn’t help but get misty-eyed myself. Though, I am a sucker for love stories, so that was to be expected. To be at that Fort in downtown Savannah, Ga doing what I love most in this world was a heartfelt feeling for me.
Its sometimes easy to forget that I am so lucky to be surrounded by Savannah, Ga and all of its beauties and landmarks. From Wormsloe, Fort Jackson, St. Paul’s Cathedral and so many other incredible sites, its truly wonderful. Here I am gushing over the city when I know what we’re all here to see.
So, without any further adieu,
To Anne and Joshua!
