Olivia and Matt were married at the gorgeous Callawassie Island Country Club in South Carolina and their wedding was a vision of beauty. I love shooting couples who are so clearly in love, yet comfortable being their normal smiling selves. Often I find people have a tendency not to smile like they normally would when in front of a camera. Knowing this, I will often ask a couple to joke with one another to bring out those natural smiles and laughs.
This wasn’t the case with Olivia and Matt. Their love, laughter and emotion could be seen and heard all over Callawassie Island Country Club. I adore couples like this. They truly do make my job so easy. That’s all I could ever ask. Natural is my main style. Natural light, natural love, natural emotion. It’s where my heart lay. So, on this beautiful weekend, I was all smiles.

Callawassie Island Country Club
So, I love Okatie, South Carolina, so when I was asked to shoot this wedding, I was so excited. And it did not disappoint! Though, I never imagined it would. The reception hall was so beautiful. Draped in blues and golds, it was such a vision to behold. This worked especially well because the bridesmaids wore matching dresses. Which is something all brides to be should keep in mind. Matching the bridesmaids to the venue design is always a wonderful decision.
Also, the florals were to die for. Including a lovely centerpiece that hung overhead. Overall, it was just a joyous, beautiful day worth celebrating. Enjoy the photos!
