Candace & Wesley | Tybee Island Wedding Chapel

I had the pleasure of capturing Candace and Wesley’s gorgeous wedding at the Tybee Island Wedding Chapel. These two were those most lovely and genuine couple. Just a couple kids in love. Which makes sense, since they were highschool sweethearts! Of course, they waited until after college to say their “I dos”, but it was apparent that they had been waiting for that moment so incredibly long.

Disclaimer: I LOVE emotional grooms.

Wesley became so emotional when seeing Candace for the first look. Tears welling up in his eyes. This always gets me since I easily get wrapped up in these moments because my couples truly become good friends through out the process of booking and planning and then the day of. It’s just so sweet and such an honor to be able to capture that moment of sincerity and love.

Of course the Tybee Island Wedding Chapel was just a wonderful venue to capture this. I’ve always loved shooting here. It’s so beautiful, standing against the soft blues of the skies surrounding it. The stairs leading up to the main hall are wonderful.

A little something about the Tybee Island Wedding Chapel. It was actually built to be used as a set for the film “The Last Song” and then given to the Tybee Island Historical Society by Disney! So any bride getting married here should automatically feel like a Disney Princess!

Speaking of Disney Princess, Candace was STUNNING! Her veil was just incredible and her gown even more so. She truly inhabited the Tybee Island Wedding Chapel, making it her own.

And, not only was she stunning, but her bridesmaids dresses were delightful. Those soft blue dresses are always some of my favorite to shoot and edit. They are just so lovely and welcoming.

Without any further adieu, Candace and Wesley!
