Under azure skies and bathed in the soft Savannah sun, Elizabeth and Steven celebrated their December wedding at one of Savannah’s most versatile wedding venues, The Charles H. Morris Center. Working with Ivory and Beau, Elizabeth’s design was pure classic. From the bridesmaid’s dresses to her white bouquets with lush greenery elegance was on full display. Stunning enough to grace one of Charles Morris’ many papers themselves.
As one of the many wedding photographers in Savannah, I think it’s safe for me to say that Savannah Ga has a unique light that works well with certain colors and hues. Elizabeth’s colors on her wedding day absolutely captured the soft warm light that the coastal plains offer wonderfully.
Charles H Morris Center
The Charles H. Morris Center is an incredible Savannah Wedding venue that frankly makes wedding photography a breeze.
A private function venue that falls under the Trustees Garden umbrella, The Charles H. Morris Center is a premier venue that makes this Savannah Wedding Photographer smile.
The ballroom alone is 3600 square feet!
But not only that, since an attached outdoor tent adds 2400 square feet. Equaling 6000 square feet for your event. A large wedding party’s dream.
The venue easily seats 300 with a full stage in the ballroom, as well. Equipped with stage sound and lighting.
But enough about the venue. It can speak for itself.
Let’s get to the good stuff.
A Savannah Wedding
As the mid-day sun gave graced the bride and groom with uncommon warmth for December, Elizabeth and Steven said their vows to one another. To say I teared up would be an understatement. I’m surprised my camera wasn’t capturing my tears of love and happiness. Watching these two finally marry filled my heart immensely.
So graceful under the sea of blue above the head. The rays of the soft Savannah sun washed down on them and they were angelic in their moment. Then the day gave way to the night.
That’s when the party started.
Tables were slid to the side and the lights were dimmed as wedding guests and family members took to the dance floor.
As a wedding photographer, this is always one of my favorite moments of the day. The dark light, the moving bodies, and pure joyousness in the air.
I love capturing the electricity of the dance floor. Once all formalities are lifted and we see a pure celebration take place. Elizabeth and Steven went from having a sweet and loving first dance to them quite literally getting down on the dance floor.
What began with Elizabeth getting ready in a stunning and cozy home, surrounded by her bridesmaids and her wonderful mother, ended with a joyous sparkler exit. The two of them walking hand in hand into their marriage and new life together.
